I am an inventive designer/maker/teacher who loves to use limited resources to achieve surprisingly complex results. This ranges from designing DIY science toys to inventing electronic puzzles and from tinkering self-made sensors to coding intriguing behaviours.
As advocate of the maker spirit, I'm trying to inspire people to be critical about consumption and to embrace the joy of making things.
I enjoy the beauty of low-tech mechanisms and BEAM-bots. I'm combining Lego with electronics or using infographics to translate complexity into understandable schematics. Kinetic art inspires me as it shows how everyday materials can become mesmerising installations. Designing typography feels like a nice puzzle because it is limited by shape rules, somehow similar to the joy of the physical puzzles when I'm bouldering.
Does any of this excite you too? Come over for an espresso.
